For those who missed an opportunity to get a flu shot from the Collier County Health Department with help from Marco Kiwanis Club Monday, another opportunity is coming to the Island.

Seasonal flu shots are being offered by the Marco Island Sunrise Rotary Club at CJ’s on the Bay, which is located in the Esplanade. Flu shots and blood pressure checks will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 10.

Complimentary juice and coffee will be offered along with a “reasonably priced” limited breakfast menu, announced Vicki Williams, with the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce, in a prepared release Wednesday.

The San Marco Road Walgreens pharmacy is also co-sponsoring the effort to immunize Marco.

The Marco Island Fire Rescue Department will offer free blood pressure checks. Flu shots are $24.99 each or free for people on Medicare. Call Wanda Day, 777-1484, or Debra Sanders, 248-7419, for more information.
