The Harborside Convention Center has played home to a variety of events, but it's hip-hop that has one council member concerned about safety.

"With the last 2 hip-hop concerts we've had an officer shot and killed and a downtown employee that was knifed and put in the hospital," said Warren Wright, Ft. Myers City Council Ward 1.

Wright says incidents like the shooting death of Ft. Myers police officer Andrew Widman has brought into question several safety concerns, drawing a link to rap concerts and safety.
