Blinking lights? FPL says 4,000 customers affected by faulty switch `

— About 4,000 Florida Power & Light customers in North Naples saw their power flicker Tuesday afternoon due to a faulty switch, an FPL spokeswoman said.

The problem occurred in the vicinity of Airport-Pulling Road and Pine Ridge Road.

“There was no actual outages. We had a switching problem that affected about 4,000 customers where their (electricity) was blinking,” said Sharon Bennett, an FPL spokeswoman.

“It took a little while to find the problem,” she said.

The faulty switch was replaced before 4 p.m. and customers shouldn’t experience any further issues, she said.
