Spanish for Adults
Beginner Class: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, 11 weeks. Introduces busy professionals to Spanish through hands-on fun activities. Learn conversational skills that are useful in the workplace, vocabulary relating to shopping, home, food and clothing. Adults 18 years and up. Y Portable C classroom. No registration after Oct. 22.
Oct. 15 to Nov. 15, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Includes strength, balance and grace needed for tumbling, mat work, vaults and beams. On-going program that welcomes children with all skill levels. Ages 3 to 16. First Baptist Church of Marco. $80 members, $100 others. Must wear clothing that is comfortable or leotards. Ballet shoes optional, bring bottled water and a towel.
Irish Step Dance
6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays. Basic techniques of Irish Step Dance and Ceili Dancing. Ages 6 to 13 Co-ed. $40 per month for members, $55 others.

Cycle: 40 to 55 min. stationary cycle for beginner and intermediate riders, simulates a road ride.

”Boo at the Zoo”
2:30 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, grades 1 to 5, $20 per child. Must Pre-register by Oct. 22. Trick-or-treating with the YMCA staff to the Naples Zoo. Children will be able to tour the zoo exhibits and collect tricks and treats throughout the park. Costumes required. Drop off and pick up will be at the portable B. Please be prompt.
“Boo” tacular Bash
7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the YMCA Aquatic Complex. 6, 7 and 8 grade students, $10 in advance by 5 p.m. day of show ($12 at the door). Food, fun and games. Wear costumes, bring cameras. Silly games, prizes, dancing and celebrations. Refreshments served at 7:45 p.m. “Knights for Christ” Singers are all Lely Football team graduates and have worked as Y camp counselors for three years.
Swim with Dottie
Monday thru Thursday for 2 weeks, Oct. 12 to 22. $50 members, $70 others. Marco Island residents may receive a $10 discount for youth swimming lessons through funds provided by the City of Marco Island (must provide proof of residency). Call for schedule.

Geoff Fahringer, IANTD Certified dive instructor will teach a small course of dive instruction for up to 4 divers. Includes dive theory, the physics of diving, equipment and more. 2 lecture sessions, up to 3 pool sessions and 4 open water dives. $475, hours tailored to the students needs. 8:30 a.m. to noon, scheduled around your availability. $45 per student includes student manual, snorkel certification card. 7 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. Pool opens at 7 a.m. for the Master Swim Program. Great for all levels. This is a draft only program. Lap swimming is available after 8 a.m. for members only or $10 for an adult day pass.
7:30 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. For men and women, 18 years of age or older. One and one half hours of playing time. Players choose sides for a game of 3x3 half court or 5x5 full court. No cost to Y members; others $10 day pass or buy your day pass in the morning and enjoy a day’s worth of activities leading up to basketball.
