Re: The intense debate over President Obama’s health plan proposals. Every letter opposing him never writes about the Republican Party’s proposals. Give the insurance companies five years to “clean up their act” and the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines. Try buying an insurance policy from a Texas Co. (notorious for loose regulatory laws) with no claims office in Florida.
Furthermore, after stopping the Clinton’s attempt to reform our health insurance system in 1992, the Republican Party was in the majority for eight years in the executive branch under George Bush, and almost seven years in the majority in Congress. So tell me, anti-Obama letter writers, what reforms for health care were proposed by the Republican Party during that decade?
Insurance companies are spending billions if dollars on ads and campaign contributions to, mainly, Republican Congressmen. Need I say more?
