Lely loses in volleyball

The Naples girl volleyball team downed Lely, 25-12, 25-16, 25-14. Rich Hubbard, Naples coach, said, “It was a good match for us. We played strong throughout. Lely played a good match. Despite the scores, Lely hustled out there.

Naples golfers top Lely

The Naples boys golf team downed the Lely squad, 150-229. Low scores for the match were identical 37s, by Jake Delaney and Josh Pisari. Brandon Black and Mike Griffin led the Lely boys with scores of 54, followed by Joe Marinaro, 60, Trevor Conte, 61, Cody Mendel, 63 and Mike Mitchusson, 66.

Lely band needs uniforms

The Lely High School band is looking for donors to help them meet their goal of $25,000 to purchase much needed uniforms.

Donors giving $50 or more will be listed in an ad placed in the Marco Eagle, Naples Sun Times, Collier Citizen and on display at the high school as a “Marching Trojan Donor.” There are various levels of recognition, from $500 to more than $1,000. YMCA golf fundraiser

The Greater Marco Island YMCA plans its 15th annual golf outing for Saturday, Dec. 12, at Cedar Hammock Golf & Country Club.

The group is looking for golfers, donors and volunteers. Call the YMCA, 394-3144, ext. 205.
