NAPLES — A Naples teen was killed in a single-car accident on Interstate 75 late Tuesday night.
Carlos A. Veita-Perez, 18, died when he lost control of his 2004 Mazda RX-8 just after 11 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Veita-Perez was traveling northbound on I-75 when his sports car started spinning and then hit a pillar of the Santa Barbara Boulevard overpass, according to the FHP.
Veita-Perez was ejected from the car, the FHP reports. He was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
