Last Thursday was a monumental day at the Greater Marco Family YMCA. Why? Because that was the day that I went to school at the Y. Margo Heidenreich, a Spanish teacher at Marco Island Charter Middle School, has put together a wonderful Spanish for Adults program that is informal, yet educational.
This interactive, dynamic class introduces Spanish to busy professionals. Topics include basic everyday terms that relate to family, home, shopping, food and clothing. This basic program will continue from 6-8 p.m., Thursdays, through Dec. 17 at the Y for adults 18 years and up. The fee is only $80 for Y members and $100 for community members. There still is room for a few new students, so if you ever wanted to learn Spanish, now is the time. You can register at the customer service desk. Gracias!
