New Cell Phone Tower Now in Service

A long-awaited cell phone tower has gone into service in Ave Maria. Verizon is the first carrier on the tower, which is located near South Park, and AT&T service is expected in the next few weeks.

Both carriers are offering third-generation (3G) cellular service. The wireless communications facility was built by Ave Maria Development and Keys Wi-Fi. It has the capability of five wireless service providers.

The facility was built by Ave Maria Development and Keys Wi-Fi and the physical construction was completed in August.
