NAPLES — It was a free-for-all on Airport-Pulling Road this afternoon when a power outage temporarily knocked out three traffic lights.
Around 2 p.m. the traffic lights at the intersections with J&C Boulevard, Orange Blossom Drive, and Naples Boulevard, all lost power, said Kristi Lester, spokeswoman for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. Power was out for about a half hour.
Power should be restored, according to Florida Power & Light spokeswoman Jackie Anderson.
Some 2,000 customers were affected when power blinked out at 2:03 p.m.
"There were quite a few birds on one of the lines. They caused the lines to bounce and locked the feeder out," she said. All power was restored at 2:38 p.m, Anderson said.
If anyone is still experiencing difficulty, call 1-800-4-OUTAGE.
