The October heat wave continued Thursday, breaking a 43-year-old temperature record and tying one set 60 years ago.
The measured high temperature in Fort Myers as of 4 p.m. was 93 degrees, breaking the record of 92 set in 1966.
The measured high in Naples was also 93 degrees, tying the record set in 1949.
