Open house

Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technolgy and Lorenzo Walker Technical High School will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to noon today at 3702 Estey Ave., Naples. See the new facility, take a tour, watch demonstrations, play games and win prizes.

Child safety fair

A child safety fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at North Collier Regional Park, 15000 Livingston Road, Naples. The event features hands-on activities, educational material, bike helmet giveaways, fingerprinting, safety tips and child CPR. Information: 252-4060 or 252-4024

Educator appreciation

League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters of Collier County will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the Collier Athletic club, 710 Goodlette-Frank Road N., Naples. Dennis L. 20th anniversary

Buckeyes tailgate party

Orchid plant sale

Exhibition winners

The Art League of Bonita Springs announced the following winners of its fall exhibition: Tom Cardamone, first place; Joan Wilde, second place; Jordan Smith, third place; and Morgan Gratton, fourth place.

Achievements and accolades

* David Collidge, a local watercolor artist, received the Philadelphia Water Color Society Award for excellence in works on paper for his painting “Along the Brandywine.”

* Tim Hancock has been named rental event coordinator for Naples Botanical Garden.

* Michele Klinowski has been promoted to senior vice president of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
