MARCO ISLAND — Battery at the Sand Bar
Officers responded to a disturbance at The Sand Bar Restaurant, 826 East Elkcam Circle at about 11:30 p.m., Sept. 29. Victim Charles Muntwyler reported that while he was working he was assaulted by Michael Christian Adcox, 32, of Naples. Adcox was charged with battery, arrested and taken to jail.
Vehicle strikes and injures motorcyclist, leaves the scene
Officers responded to the scene of an accident involving an automobile versus a motorcycle near South Barfield Drive and Hawaii Court at 6:22 p.m., Oct. 3. The motorcyclist was struck and thrown from his bike as a vehicle passed him and left the scene. The driver of the vehicle, Nicholas Denis Smith, 20, of 197 Gulfport Court, Marco was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving personal injuries. Smith was taken to jail.
Domestic battery
A disturbance was reported at 152 Leeward Court at about 9:45 p.m., Oct. 3. Victim Mike Droese reported that he was assaulted by Marcel J. Droese, 24, of Anglers Cove Building B, unit 506. Marcel Droese was arrested for domestic battery and taken to jail.
Shots fired by inebriated gunman, assault and battery
Police arrived on the scene of reported gunshots fired at 1943 San Marco Road at about 10 a.m., Oct. 4. Charles Jack Fohlbrook, 41, listed on the booking sheet as a manager at Key Marco, had discharged a weapon while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, police reported. He fired several shots at an unoccupied vehicle parked at his residence, according to the report. Victims Ramona and Thomas Fohlbrook also reported that they were assaulted by the defendant at the residence. Charles Fohlbrook arrested, charged with aggravated assault, battery and discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. He was taken to jail.
Disorderly conduct
Editor's note: Prosecutors did not file charges against Joseph Bibik, and his case was closed.
After a disturbance was reported at 749 Caribbean Court at about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 4, police reported that Joseph Bibik, 41, was continuing to cause a disruption at his home. Police said that after they made several unsuccessful attempts to subdue Bibik, he was arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and taken to jail.
Warrant arrest
John Patrick Burke, 42, of 139 Marco Lake Dr. unit 306, was arrested for an active criminal arrest warrant out of Martin County for failure to appear in court. He was taken to jail at 9:30 p.m., Oct. 5.
Drivers license restrictions
Antonio Casas-Morgado was arrested and charged with driving with a restricted license. Casas-Morgado, 50, of 2640 W. 60 PL Hialeach, Fla., was only permitted to drive for business purposes. He was taken to jail after police found him behind the driver’s seat at the Publix Supermarket located at 175 S. Barfield Dr., at 12:05 p.m., Oct. 6.
Theft from beach bag
Cynthia Jemiola reported that someone removed several items from her beach bag while at the beach near 900 S. Collier Blvd. at 2:30 a.m., Oct. 7. Total estimated value of loss is $560.
