An unidentified person is wanted for questioning in connection with a recent auto theft in Fort Myers.
According to detectives, the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Brittany Apartments last month. However what the thief didn’t realize is that she was stealing a “bait” car — which was being tracked by detectives.
Due to traffic and public safety concerns, officers weren’t able to pull the vehicle over without endangering nearby motorists. The suspect managed to get away, and ditched the car a few blocks later and fled the area on foot. Law enforcement is now asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
