Hometown: Elizabeth, N.J.
Occupation: Executive director of the Art League, the Marco Island Center for the Arts
Education: Liberal arts degree with an emphasis in the fine arts from Oakland College Michigan
Family/marital status: Married to husband Charlie and in love with Chessie our 19-year-old calico cat.
How she got to Marco: It was a change in our lives that led us over the bridge, but like a lot of people we know, when we came over the bridge and saw the Island for the first time ... that was it, we knew we had to stay.
Favorite thing about Marco: I really feel passionately about supporting the fine arts on Marco. We have so much talent here and helping to foster that wonderful resource is very gratifying. I enjoy the beach, and anything outdoors on Marco is great. I also enjoy dining out at Davinci’s and an occasional ice-cold beer at the Snook Inn.
Lessons learned or sage advice: I believe it is really important to listen well before speaking is one of the best bits of advice for everyone. Not to sound like an Army recruiter, but I really believe — be all you can be — is a very good motto, and not to second guess yourself and go with your original feeling is also very important.
