Marco Presbyterian Church: Women’s Fall Bible Study, Fridays, 9 a.m. begins today. The study, based on Rich Warren’s “What On Earth Am I Here For” explores — Why Am I Alive? Does my life matter? What is my purpose? Study pamphlets are $1.50. Nursery provided. Trunk or Treat, Saturday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the church’s grass parking lot. There will also be an inflatable obstacle course, a “Dunk the Pastors” tank, two inflatable bounce-houses (one for the smaller children and one for bigger kids), a Pumpkin Patch with pumpkins for sale and free photo opportunities, plus free burgers, hot dogs, snacks, and drinks, a costume contest, a special scavenger hunt for the younger children and prizes. Please, no scary costumes.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church: Tropical Nights Dinner Dance with a tropical island buffet and silent auction, 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, to benefit El Buen Samaritano Children Shelter in the Dominican Republic. Reservations required. $25 per person.
Wesley United Methodist Church: New Middle School Sunday School Class begins on Nov. 1. The class for fourth graders and older will meet after the children’s moment at the 10:30 a.m. service. The study focuses on the Apostle Paul and will include discussion, excerpts from books and movie presentations.
