Pet Salon opens in Naples

Love Me, Love My Dog Pet Salon and Spa has opened near Pine Ridge and Airport-Pulling roads.

Kathy Lopes of Naples opened the shop that offers everything from full grooming, doggy day care, pet sitting and spa packages.

All grooming guests are double-bathed using a massaging system of ears and nails and a sanitary cleanser, conditioner and their hair is hand blow-dried. For that little extra touch, blueberry facials, mud baths, pawdicures with polish and a variety of other salon specialties are offered.

Designers finalize plans for Naples church

Alliance Design Group has announced that it has completed the design of a new Worship Center for Covenant Presbyterian Church of Naples.

The project will be built by Owen-Ames-Kimball and project challenges include the complete relocation of an existing lake and the construction of a new two-story worship center as the first phase of a multiple phase project.

Future plans anticipate a new two-story education building.

Southwest Florida Training Society announces program

All Southwest Florida organizations are invited to submit entries for Excellence in Employee Development Awards in anticipation of the annual award ceremony to recognize outstanding area achievements in employee development.

The Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development will sponsor the award program held in conjunction with annual Employee Learning Week, scheduled for Dec. 7-11. The award ceremony will take place during the night of Dec. 16 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Fort Myers.

All large and small business, education, nonprofit and government organizations, employees and volunteers are invited and encouraged to submit nominations. The program is open to individuals, teams and organizations whose practices have advanced workplace performance. Deadline to submit nominations is Nov. 13.

There are two award categories:

Excellence in Employee Development Award: Recognizes a company, organization, or team that has demonstrated a commitment to helping employees develop their skills and continue their education.

Trainer Excellence Award: Recognizes an individual who exemplifies excellence in delivering training in an innovative, motivational and inspiring way.
