Obama to visit Arcadia on Tuesday

President Barack Obama will visit Arcadia on Tuesday for the opening of the nation's largest solar power energy center, the White House announced.

Obama will tour the DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center, a Florida Power and Light plant with more than 90,000 solar photovoltaic panels capable of producing 25 megawatts of power, enough to serve 3,000 homes.

The tour is expected to begin around noon, after which Obama will give a speech, according to the announcement.

On Monday, the president will speak at a Jacksonville naval station and attend a fundraiser for Democratic congressional candidates in Miami.
