Congratulations to the residents of the Mediterra community on the border of the Collier and Lee counties.
They have persevered and managed to buy the country club from their financially challenged developer, the Bonita Bay Group.
Few Mediterra residents ever dreamed they would be put into such a position when they bought and built in the high-quality community — especially with such an established developer at the helm.
But they were.
They did what they believed they had to do to stabilize their community and in the long run protect their investments.
