Here are our recommendations for something to do each day on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 30-31, 2009:

FRIDAY: Check out the Halloween skate night, haunted music and treats at the door, from 9 to 11 p.m. at Germain Arena, 11000 Everblades Parkway, Estero. $5, adults; free, children in costume; both include skate rental. 948-7825, ext. 1306.

SATURDAY: Support your local high schools: Show up at the Collier County Band Showcase for some snappy marching and good music from Collier County high school bands, 1 p.m. at Naples High School, 1100 Golden Eagle Circle, Naples. $5 at the door. 377-1855.
