Hodges University appoints new vice president of finance

Hodges University has appointed Randy Eldridge as its new Vice President of Finance.

The appointment takes effect immediately. Initially, Eldridge will be responsible for the Controller’s Office, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Business Office and Bookstore operations. He will also assist the Executive Vice President of Administration, John White, with the preparation of financial statements, audits, and documentation of procedures.

Eldridge comes to Hodges from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., where he served as Vice President for Finance and Operations for the past six years. Prior to that, he served as Vice President for Finance and Director of Budget at the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande, Ohio.

Eldridge has a bachelor’s degree accounting, a master’s of business administration degree, and is currently working on his dissertation in a Doctor of Business Administration program in Advanced Accounting. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as a financial peer evaluator for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Participating builders announced at Quail West

Quail West Development Co. has announced the selection of seven participating homebuilders who will construct custom single-family residences in Quail West, and one builder who will also construct the community’s villas. Quail West is a 1,180-acre master-planned community located in Naples.

The single-family homebuilders who have been selected are: Florida Lifestyle Homes of Fort Myers, known for quality construction; Fox Custom Builders, building homes of distinction for more than 20 years; Imperial Homes of Southwest Florida, established in 1984; London Bay Homes, named America’s Best Builder in 2004 by Builder magazine; McGarvey Custom Homes, recognized for customization and attention to detail; Robert D’Angelo Custom Homes, specializing in custom design; and the Newport Co., known for exquisite detail and craftsmanship.

Villas will be constructed by McGarvey Custom Homes.

“These builders are well-known for their extraordinary commitment to excellence,” said Cheryl Deering, vice president of sales and marketing of Quail West. “It’s a pleasure to work with them in the Quail West builder program.”

Quail West is now offering homesites from $300,000, villas from $900,000 and custom single-family homes from $1.5 million. At the heart of the community is the elegant and newly renovated $20 million 70,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring casual and fine dining facilities, ballroom, wine grotto, full-service spa and beauty salon, pro shops, fitness center, card room, eight red-clay tennis courts and a junior Olympic-sized resort-style pool. It is significant that all Quail West amenities are completed, fully operational and are owned debt-free.
