What was the last restaurant you visited?

The Country House — oh, the food is excellent. I like their very generous portions of food, and the food itself is very good. I’ve traveled the U.S. quite a bit and I’m always looking for something new. As far as country food goes, I haven’t found something that good.

What did you order?

I like the country steak with gravy and the home fries. I like it to have a couple eggs on top. They must know me by now, because they put the country steak, top it off with country gravy and add three over-easy eggs. That’s how I like it.

What are some other good restaurants?

We visited with my family, Senor Tequila’s. The environment itself is Mexico. I think it’s what draws people to the place. The food is good, too.

What’s your favorite cuisine?

I would say the country food is very good. I like it a lot.

What qualities do you look for in a good restaurant?

When I walk in, I make sure it’s clean — the tables, the pictures — if it’s dusty, it’s not good. The service of course, too, and the food has got a big role to play. Some places don’t have a lot of the first, but the food is good.
