The question: What awaits successful blood donors in Southwest Florida this weekend?
Those who give blood over the next few days become eligible for a chance to win one of four Lovers Key “staycation” packages and one of four Cruise Naples prize packs. Prize drawings will be pulled Sept. 8. Call 436-5455 or visit www.givebloodcbc.org for more information.
Blood drives this weekend are from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at a bloodmobile parked at Hollywood 20 Cinemas, 6006 Hollywood Blvd. A free movie ticket goes to every donor.
Or, donors may give at the Community Blood Center’s fixed site in Naples at 311 Ninth Street N., Suite 108, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday.
Donors can park in the NCH Downtown Hospital campus parking garage which is just south of the U.S. 41 and Fourth Avenue North intersection. Successful donors will be treated to a $10 gas card and a Chick-fil-A gift card redeemable for a free chicken sandwich.
People can donate blood every 56 days. Anyone who weighs at least 110 pounds and is age 17 or older can give blood. There is no upper age limit to donate blood. Organizations who wish to schedule a blood drive at their location should contact Laura Rosen at laura.rosen@NCHmd.org or (239) 436-5303.
