Deputies arrested a 43-year-old man on felony charges Wednesday after they say he stole a Rolex watch from inside a locker at a Golden Gate Estates golf club and then pawned it for cash.
According to Sheriff’s reports, Tyree Wilburn reported the theft of his $10,000 Rolex watch from his locker at Calusa Pines Golf Club on April 4.
A four-month CCSO investigation found that James Francis O’Leary, who was an employee at the golf club when the theft was reported, stole the watch, reports said.
Further investigation revealed O’Leary sold the watch to a Naples jewelry store in exchange for $5,000, reports.
O’Leary, 1866 Seville Blvd., Unit 1411, North Naples, was charged with grand theft $5,000 to $10,000, and dealing in stolen property.
