Lely High School graduate Keith Eloi has yet to be signed to a practice squad by an NFL team.
Teams could begin signing players to the eight-man squads starting at noon on Sunday. Eloi, an undrafted wide receiver out of Nebraska-Omaha, was cut by the Washington Redskins on Saturday.
The Redskins signed five players to their practice squad on Sunday, so they have room if they choose to sign Eloi, who caught two passes for 30 yards in Thursday's preseason finale.
Eloi posted on his Twitter feed that he was headed back to Naples "where I will continue to work on my skills, stay in shape and wait for the next step the Lord will plan."
