Intent on drumming up some business as housing prices drop, Prudential Florida Real Estate Services is holding an open house tour of homes over the weekend of Sept. 26 and 27.
The statewide promotion includes about 45 houses on Marco, said Prudential Managing Broker George Percel, and will run 1 to 4 p.m.
He said the open house weekend will feature properties that offer some type of seller incentive, such as assistance with closing costs or a home warranty.
In a related release, Prudential COO Rei Mesa said an $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit is available to qualified buyers for properties that close by November 30.
Kenneth Cornelius, president of the participating Florida Home Finance Group, an affiliate of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, said the company hopes the credit offer and other benefits will be a catalyst for prospective buyers.
More details of the tour will be advertised in the Marco Eagle on Sept. 25, and on the company Web site www.prudentialfloridarealty.com, on www.Realtor.com.
Florida Home Finance Group, will have loan officers available to pre-qualify customers and provide guidance on financing offerings and incentives.
Prudential Florida Real Estate Services has more than 40 locations and about 1,800 real estate associates throughout Florida.
