Mike and Meryl Blass have lived on Marco for eight years.
Hometown: Syosset, Long Island, N.Y. We have been living on Marco Island for 8 years.
Occupation: I’m retired; previously I was the operations vice president for J.P. Morgan.
Education: I graduated from Hunter College, New York.
Family/Marital Status: We are married and have four adult children who don’t live on the island.
How they got to Marco: Our real estate agent – this was back in ’98 and we fell in love with the island and decided to come and retire here. We bought a lot and a few years later built a house in 2001.
Favorite thing about Marco: The beach: We like to walk on the beach after dinner and watch the sunset.
Lessons Learned/Sage Advice: Retire early and enjoy life in paradise on Marco Island.
