NAPLES — The City of Naples laid more than 20,000 eggs in three hours Saturday for the annual Bunnymania event at Fleischmann Park. As soon as the eggs were down, they were snatched back up by running, screaming and laughing children.
More than 3,000 people attended the event that featured Easter egg hunts for children between the ages of 2 and 12. Booths were set up for caricatures, balloon art, face painting, a magic show, as well as food and other activities.
Kelly Lee, the recreation supervisor for Naples, says the event is an opportunity for families to get out and have a lot of fun for a little money.
The event, held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., cost $5 per child and parents were free.
