A crowd estimated at approximately 5,000 packed Mackle Park on Saturday morning for the Marco Island Parks and Recreation’s Spring Jubilee. The morning was packed full of events. Music and games were provided by Mobil Sound Entertainment. The crowd was treated to a cheerleading display by the Marco Magic Cheerleaders. Attendees had their caricatures painted by John Salustro. Other activities included sand art, crafts by the Marco Island Parks and Recreation Foundation, snow cones by the Marco Island Optimist Club, holiday games and a guest appearance by the Easter Bunny.
The event reached its peak at 11:30 am with the start of the Easter Egg Hunt. Over 18,000 Easter eggs were used for this year’s hunt; which was divided into four different age groups, 4 and under, 5 to 7, 8 to 9, and 10 to 11 year-olds.
