100 jobs created with appliance stores opening in Naples, Fort Myers

Good news for the thousands of Southwest Florida residents who are unemployed has arrived with an announcement made Tuesday by the area's newest retailer, hhgregg.

The electronics and appliance chain is opening two stores, one in Naples and one in Fort Myers, and both will need 50 "commissioned sales associates, warehouse staff and customer service merchandisers," according to release made by the Indianapolis company.

"There are many exciting opportunities at hhgregg for motivated individuals looking to grow with our company," said hhgregg Regional Manager Curtis Etheridge. "We encourage those with a friendly attitude and customer service focus to apply."

As part of their employment, the 100 new hhgregg employees will undergo a training program that includes more than 200 hours of product training in fitting with the company's motto: "Price and advice. Guaranteed." Each hhgregg store has over 100 televisions and 500 major appliances in stock every day.

The two new stores are located at 5052 Airport Pulling Road North in Naples and 5100 South Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. More information on their opening can be found online at hhgreggnewstores.com.
