I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Marco Island Emergency Response Team. On Saturday, August 13, 2010, my husband suffered a massive heart attack at our home in Marco Island. We called 911 and in less than five minutes the Emergency Response Team was at our home. They quickly assessed the situation, and were in immediate contact with the Naples Hospital Cardiac Unit. Upon arriving at NCH, the cardiac team was waiting and he was quickly brought up for an angioplasty. A stent was inserted to open the blocked artery. If not for the quick and excellent coordination of services between the Marco Island Emergency Response Team and physicians and nurses at NCH, he would have died. It is very reassuring to know we have such an excellent group of professionals locally. My sincere thanks.
