BONITA SPRINGS — A tennis instructor found one of his stolen rackets at a Bonita Springs pawnshop then reported the theft to deputies.
According to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report:
George Glowa, 59, of the 24000 block of Claire Street, Bonita Springs, told deputies he was gone from Oct. 6 to Nov. 14. When he returned home, he noticed 20 Wilson Babalot tennis rackets valued at a total of $2,500 and an over-the-stove microwave valued at $100 missing.
He found the one tennis racket at a pawnshop and called deputies.
It was not clear in the report why he waited nearly a month to report the items missing.
