Dave Rice, chairman of the House Decorating contest, send an email on Thursday announcing the finalists for the annual contest. He wrote:
"The preliminary judging of the 14th Annual House Decorating Contest is complete. Friday night, Dec. 17 the committee will select the overall winner from the Top 10 finalists. The judges will be leaving on the MI Trolley, one of our sponsors at 6:15 p.m. from the parking lot of another of our sponsors, the Centennial Bank, to view the Top 10 and decide on a winner.
Upon completion of the tour, the committee returns to the winning address to present the winners plaque, yard sign and a check for $500.00 which is provided by our premiere sponsor, LCEC."

This competition is so rigged! Please tell me how a house with just white lights around tree trunks wins against other houses with much much more "holiday spirit" and "class"? IDK But we enjoyed all the other thoughtout christmas displays.

what a waste of gasoline to go see the house that won. Have the judges lost their minds!!! It is embarassing and obvious that the better houses were overlooked. People come from naples every year to see our houses I suppose this is a good way to kill the tradition.
