What about local “American Idol” contestant Paige Miles? The Community School of Naples graduate, who now lives in Houston, is part of this year’s Hollywood singing competition on Fox.
But representatives from the ratings juggernaut declined requests to make Miles, 24, available for an interview.
Jennifer Sprague, a publicist for the show, said in an e-mail that “Hollywood contestants aren’t available for interviews at this time.”
She didn’t respond to a further inquiry as to when Miles might be made available for interviews.
“Idol” contestants have to sign stringent confidentiality contracts that limit their contact with media outlets between the time of their auditions, which were held last year, and the airing of Hollywood Week on the show.
“American Idol” only starts its live broadcasts after the final 24 contestants have been chosen by the panel of judges, which this year includes Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Ellen Degeneres.
Various Web sites have speculated that Miles will be one of the 24 finalists after the group of 60 contestants is winnowed down.

The Daily News interviewed contestant Shelby Dressell earlier on in the process, before speculation began about who made it to Hollywood Week.
