MARCO ISLAND — Theft of sculptures
Michael Schroth reported that someone stole several sculptures from a trailer parked on the 1500 block of Galleon Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 and 8:30 a.m., Feb. 7. The sculptures are valued at approximately $5400.
Criminal mischief, car damage
Gaetano Spina reported that his car was damaged while parked in the lot at Mackle Park, 1361 Andalusia Terrace, between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Feb. 1. Estimated value of damage is $300.
DUI
Robert Pappas was stopped by police for a traffic offense at 9:25 p.m. on Feb. 6 near the 400 block of South Collier Boulevard. Pappas, 62, of Dartmouth, Mass., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and taken to jail.
Theft
Brent Hatley reported that someone stole miscellaneous items of his valued at approximately $610 while he was at Captain Brien’s Comedy Club, 599 S. Collier Blvd., at about 11:45 p.m., Feb. 6.
Battery, witness tampering
Police responded to a disturbance reported on the 800 block of Amber Court. Brenda Kennedy reported that she was assaulted by her spouse John Fitzmaurich Kennedy, 48, of the 800 block of Amber Drive, Marco, at about 11:30 p.m., Feb. 7. Police say he tried to obstruct the victim’s contact with law enforcement by damaging all means of communication. John Kennedy was charged with battery and witness tampering and then taken to jail.
