Naples man arrested after bar fight involving about 10 people at Pelican Larry’s

— A Naples man was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest in the early morning hours Friday after a fight at Pelican Larry's Bar on Davis Boulevard.

Robert C. Krantz, 34, of 2072 Longboat Dr. was maced twice and had to be physically overpowered by deputies.

According to reports, the 6-foot 5-inch, 240-pound Krantz was involved in a fight that started inside and spilled into the patio. He was sprayed once so deputies could handcuff him, and sprayed again after a knee strike by another deputy failed to subdue him so he could be put into a patrol car.

A deputy was talking to the bouncer outside the bar at about 1:20 a.m. when a bartender approached and said there was a disturbance inside. The deputy reported eight or 10 people fighting, most of whom immediately stopped. The deputy said Krantz seemed intoxicated and was wildly swinging his arms and refused to cooperate.

He was taken to the Naples Jail.
