Bonita Springs company becomes approved applicator of ArcusStone products
Knotts Plastering, Inc. recently completed qualification training to become an approved applicator of the ArcusStone products, patented limestone coatings. Developed in Europe in the 1960s primarily for restoring historic stone structures, ArcusStone to easily lends itself to the old world style of architecture, but can also be used in contemporary and sleek designs. Ideal for commercial and residential projects as well as renovations, ArcusStone is the dream solution when finish and texture are crucial to your project's success. This training has allowed Knotts Plastering, Inc. to be capable of accomplishing numerous new types of projects.
The trademark of Old World design is a weathered, broken-in look of a building that seems to have held up under centuries of use. A perfect example of this look would be a section of wall that appears to have cracking plaster showing through to the stone wall underneath. This feature is found in many homes and commercial buildings in Southwest Florida. ArcusStone can be textured, honed and finished like cut stone, or given the look of a more rustic field stone.
The stone is typically applied as a three-eighths of an inch coating over a stable substrate. With a compressive strength of 5,805 psi, and a flexural strength of 1,043 psi - it provides a level of strength and endurance that is ahead of just about anything out there.
