Possession of drug paraphernalia, the controlled substance Oxycontin
Daniel Cruz, 24, of the 100 block of Marco Lake Drive, was arrested near his home and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a non-prescribed controlled substance. Police say Cruz possessed 80 mg. of oxycontin, a pain killer. He went to jail at 11:59 p.m., Feb. 11.
Violation of restraining order
Joseph A. Melchiorre, 63, of the 22500 block of Ocean Blvd., Port Charlotte, was arrested at the Marco Island Police Department and charged with violating a restraining order for no contact while at 4 a.m., on Feb. 8, at 1575 Twilight Way. He went to jail.
Theft of bike
James Guilford reported that his bike was stolen sometime between 11 p.m., Feb. 6, and 6 a.m., Feb. 7, from an alley located at Sea breeze South Condominiums. The bicycle is valued at approximately $500.
Theft of bike
Daniel Orfan reported that his bike was stolen from outside his residence on the 100 block of North Collier Boulevard sometime between 5 p.m., on Feb. 8, and 8 a.m., on Feb. 9. The bicycle is valued at approximately $50.
