MARCO ISLAND — Domestic battery, resisting officer without violence
Police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at about 10 p.m., Dec. 27, on the 300 block of Columbus Way. Victims Mark and Donna Colwell reported that their daughter assaulted them both. As police were attempting to conduct an interview with their daughter, Allycia Mary Colwell, 18, police report that she refused to comply and became uncooperative and resistant. Allysia Colwell was charged with battery and resisting officers without violence. She went to jail.
Misuse of 911 system, warrant arrest
Michael Dean Jones, 44, of the 500 block of Eden Court, Marco, was arrested at his home at nearly 3:30 a.m., Dec. 18, after police reported that Jones misused the emergency call system by placing several calls to 911. Jones was also wanted on a warrant from Manatee County for violation of probation. He went to jail.
Theft of coin-operated machine
Author Schmadtke reported that someone stole a coin-operated machine from A-Tech Auto Service, which is located at 805 E. Elkcam Cir., sometime between 6 p.m., Dec. 18, and 10 a.m., Dec. 20. Total estimated value of loss is $3000.
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Police received reports of suspicious person loitering in an alley near 1000 N. Collier Blvd. at about 2:30 a.m., Dec. 23. When they arrived, they reported that Gregory S. Steger, 45, of the 400 block of 6th Avenue, Marco, possessed drug paraphernalia. Steger was issued a notice to appear in court and released at the scene.
Criminal mischief, mailbox damage
James Kennedy reported that someone damaged his mailbox, located at the 200 block of Stillwater Court, at about 2:30 a.m., Dec. 23. The damage is approximately $500, police report.
Criminal mischief, vehicle damage
Dennis McGrath reported someone damage his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway located on the 1400 block of Delbrook Way sometime between 8 p.m., Dec. 22 and 2 p.m., Dec. 23. Estimated value of damage is $500.
Warrant arrest on Christmas Eve
Joseph Brian Carrington, 39, of the 1900 block of Sheffield Avenue, Marco, was arrested at home at 6 a.m., Dec. 24, for an active warrant out of Lee County for violation of probation. He was brought to jail.
Driving while license suspended
Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on the 1400 block of North Collier Boulevard on Christmas, Dec. 25. James Hampton, 42, of the 1300 block of Mainsail Drive, Naples, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He went to jail.
Criminal mischief, plumbing damage
Peter Sottong reported damage to several outdoor plumbing fixtures at the YMCA, 101 Sandhill St., at 5 p.m., Dec. 26. Police estimated the damage was about $60.
Theft of clubs from car
John Cobb reported that someone stole his golf clubs valued at approximately $1500 from the trunk of his vehicle while parked at his home, which is on the 400 block of North Collier Boulevard, sometime between 11 p.m., Dec. 26 and 9 a.m., Dec. 27.
Possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia
Anthony Francis Pupo, 40, of the 1700 block of Hummingbird Court, Marco, was arrested at about 2 a.m., Dec. 18, after police responded to a noise complaint coming from his home. Pupo was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was issued a notice to appear in court.
Habitual traffic offender
Brian Charles Martin, 32, of Anglers Cove, was arrested near the 1400 block of North Collier Boulevard at about 7 p.m., Dec. 28. Police report the habitual traffic offender was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. Martin was taken to jail.
Possession of narcotics paraphernalia, possession of marijuana
Matthew Lee Walker, 19, of the 2600 block of Smith Road, was arrested Saturday by Marco Island police at Delbrook Way. He was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
