The sound of tiles clapping the board reverberates throughout portable B as the class of Mah-Jongg students learns this ancient Chinese game. The players will learn the names of the tiles and the various movements of the game to ensure you collect the Chow, Pung, Kong or Mah Jungg tiles that you need to complete your hand of 14 tiles that is called going Mah-Jongg.

You too, can learn this interesting past time by enrolling in the next series of Mah-Jongg lessons at the Y. Learn over a four-week series starting Monday, Feb. 1 and each Monday through the 22. Lessons are scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. and cost $30 for Y members and $50 for non-members. Registration and payment are required in advanced. Call Miss Dottie if more information is required at 394-3144, ext. 204.

Mark your calendars for the adult social dance coming up from 7 to 10 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29. The greatest hits from the 1960’s 70’s and 80’s are on tap, plus country and specialty line dances like the Electric Slide. Cost is $10 per person and refreshments will be served.

Finally, a tip of the ol’ hat and a thank-you for a job well done at the Hadinger Flooring Family Fun Day, held in Naples. Thank you to the volunteers who helped out during this special day.

Please stop by the Y and check out all we have to offer. You do not have to be a member to enjoy the Y, but it helps your pocketbook if you become a member. See you at the Y!
