This is my second year watching and photographing a burrow close by our home. I must have hundreds of pictures of these remarkable, beautiful and amazing little birds. However, never before have I managed to capture all four chicks together, let alone them posing for me as they did today!
I have spent a lot of time with mom, dad and now chicks and they seem to just accept me. So much so, mom and dad just ignore me now! Quite ironic, I was telling a friend that I love my wildlife photography and you can’t tell a bird to stand a certain way, look at the camera, and smile.
Well these little guys did for me ... unbelievable!
The owls are located off Templewood Court.

Thanks for the captivating pictures! I work with BuOws in California and would love to know more about their Florida cousins. There seems to be tallish grass around the burrow shown. Our BuOws insist on great visibility from their burrows and love perches. Are yours different?

I love Owls! I collect them. Figurines, statues, jewelry, etc. I really need to get a copy of those precious birds photo. Are they native to Marco? If so, I have never had the opportunity to see one up close. What a great shot!
