VIDEO: Virtual golf competition to benefit Keep Collier Beautiful

First virtual golf tournament in SW FL

Golfers take on St. Andrews virtually

The first ever virtual golf tournament in Southwest Florida is taking place at the PGA Tour Superstore in Naples for the month of July.

Golfers will be playing the Olde Course at St. Andrews on state-of-the-art virtual simulators, the same course the British Open players will be taking on this week in Scotland.

The money raised in the Naples competition will benefit Keep Collier Beautiful.

Golfers with a U.S.G.A. handicap will be competing for the grand prize, which is a trip for two to the Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2011, including round-trip airfare, three night hotel accommodations and tickets to the tournament.

The second place winner will get two V.I.P. single-day passes to the Shark Shootout at the Tiburon Golf Club and third place wins two V.I.P. single-day passes to the ACE Group Classic.

The cost for the 18-hole virtual course play is $40 and $25 for 9. The time to play 18 virtual holes is approximately 3-4 hours and 1-2 hours for 9-holes.

To set a tee-time, call the P.G.A. Tour Superstore at (239) 384-6380 option 3, or register online at
