Creekside and Immokalee Crash

— The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Creekside Way, near the entrance to the Daily News headquarters.

The crash occurred just before 2 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office reported. It appeared at the scene as though a maroon Nissan had T-boned a green Jeep. The front end of the Nissan was crumpled, and the side of the Jeep was mangled. No serious injuries were reported.

After the collision, the Jeep struck the front bumper of Maureen Burhrmaster’s silver Audi while she waited at a red light on Creekside Way. She said the wreck occurred in the middle of the intersection.

"I was afraid to get out," Burhrmaster said. "I thought I was going to see a dead body."

The driver of the Jeep was identified as Nilda Alvarez, according to her friend, Julie Rodriguez, who came to the scene after the wreck. The name of the man driving the Nissan wasn’t immediately available, though he was seen walking around at the crash site.
