Tri-Power wins Naples Cup Regatta

Tri-Power, Captained by Edward Dixon, with mate wife Lois, won the Multihull Class in the Porsche of Naples Regatta on the weekend. The four-mile course began a mile off shore from the Naples Pier.

It marked the third straight year that the Dixons, members of the Marco Island Yacht Club, won their class.

“We usually have another crew member, but we thought the wind was going to be light,” Edward Dixon said. “It turned out we had winds of 18 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph. My wife was a bit overworked and we certainly got wet.”

The Dixons have had a great racing season. Read more about their sailing exploits in the Marco Eagle and on marconews.com on Friday.
