A citizen-led Collier County task force plans to air ideas for creating jobs and saving energy at a public forum set for Wednesday.
The Task Force on Rebuilding Collier's Energy Use forum is set for 3 to 5 p.m. in the Collier County Commission chambers on the third floor of Building F at the county government center at the corner of Airport-Pulling Road and U.S. 41 East.
The forum will look at efforts already underway by Collier County, the city of Naples and the Bayshore and Immokalee community redevelopment agencies.
The Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council will talk about its solar water retrofit program, and the forum will discuss bills pending in the state Legislature to encourage local communities to put people back to work retrofitting older homes and buildings.
