Outstanding scores filled the results board at the 37th annual Eagle Open at Eagle Creek Country Club on Saturday.

In the four-person scramble, the team of John Stephens, Tee McCabe, Jim Lane and Greg Hill won with a score of 57.

One stroke off were Dave Stonier, Bob Dugan, Mike Weigandt and Rob Pentico. In third were Curt and Jacquie Koon, Chrissy Franklin and Chris McCan, just two strokes back at 60.

Men’s closest to the pin went to Ron Bales. The long drive winner for the men was Tom Griffin. Laurie Travers won longest drive and closest to the pin for the women.

Dick Shanahan, chairman of the event, complimented the Eagle Creek staff for outstanding course preparation and an outstanding awards lunch. He said more than $9,000 was raised from the event.

Members of the two Marco Rotary clubs coordinated the event, with the funds going to local charities, with a particular interest in the Marco Island Charter Middle School.

The Eagle Open Committee included Shanahan, Jennifer Johnson, Bette McGilvray, Mary Quinton, Debra Sanders, George Schroll, George Abounader and Dottie Weiner.
