FORT MYERS — Country musician Mindy McCready was in Lee County Family Court Wednesday, trying to regain custody of her four-year-old son, Zander.
The boy was placed with McCready's mother, Gayle Inge, after the star's well-publicized legal and substance abuse problems.
McCready's attorney motioned to reopen the case, and Judge James Seals agreed to a "provisional reopening." The Department of Children and Families will have up to 45 days to complete an investigation and report back to the court.
