French Open: Lely grad Witten faces No. 25 Baghdatis on Monday

The schedule for Day 2 of the French Open has been posted, and Lely High School graduate Jesse Witten will play No. 25 seed Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus in the second match on Court 7 on Monday in Paris.

The first match on that court starts at 5 a.m. ET.

Witten, 27, advanced through three rounds of qualifying to make his third career Grand Slam. He has played in the U.S. Open twice, including last year when he won two matches and lost to Novak Djokovic.

Baghdatis was the 2006 Australian Open runner-up, and a semifinalist at Wimbledon the same year, but he has not fared well in Paris. He's lost in the first round in three of his six appearances, including each of the past two years. Baghdatis lost in the second round in 2006, and the fourth round in 2007.

The Tennis Channel has live coverage from 5 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, but it's not definite they will show any of Witten's match. The Tennis Channel also is showing many matches live on its website,
