A Baltimore-bound AirTran passenger jet with engine problems landed safely just after 3 p.m. today at Southwest Florida International Airport today, officials said.
The plane, flight 605, experienced engine difficulty after takeoff, and emergency and fire crews had gathered at the airport.
AirTran spokeswoman Judy Graham-Weaver said the crew is currently checking the problem with a right engine.
Another plan, flight 605, with 116 passengers and five crew members, is expected to depart later today around 4:50 p.m.
