Bret Lang was arrested on Collier County warrants charging him with three counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition and one count of online child solicitation.
A 53-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in Charlotte County after authorities say he solicited sex from a Collier County sheriff’s detective pretending to be a young girl online.
Bret Lang of Punta Gorda sent nude photographs of himself and of his genitals to an undercover deputy who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl during an online chat in mid-June, detectives said.
During the course of the chat, Lang solicited the undercover deputy for a sex act.
Further investigation by detectives with Sheriff’s Office’s Major Crimes Bureau Exploitation Unit, with assistance from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, revealed that Lang was conducting the chat on a computer at his workplace at a Charlotte car dealership.
Lang was arrested on Collier County warrants charging him with three counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition and one count of online child solicitation. He was booked into the Charlotte County Jail, where he was awaiting transport to Collier County.
The investigation continues.
